a space where art
can be felt and your
being expressed.

Artfelt Being Therapy is an independent art therapy and counselling practice, located in Newcastle NSW. ArtFelt Being Therapy is grounded in trauma informed, client led, neuro-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. It is a space where your inner world is met with compassion and your being embraced exactly as you are.

I’m Eloise (She/Her) a registered ANZACATA Art Therapist, who is part of the LGBTQIA+ community.Therapy can be really hard to start with a new clinician. I deeply respect the vulnerability it takes to develop trust and the need to feel safe. It’s a privilege that I hold deeply to be entrusted with, my clients lived experiences and navigation of their inner world. At the core of Artfelt Being Therapy I aim to create a space that is warm and relational that meets clients where they're at. I walk beside my clients at their own pace, whether that be through art-making or talking.

What is Art Therapy?

Art Therapy isn’t about creating something perfect. If anything imperfections are welcomed and celebrated.

Art Therapy is an allied health profession that explores the process of what happens between making your first mark, splash, tear, cut or stitch to the last. During the process the intrinsic knowing of what our body needs takes shape in art making. The shape of feelings, emotions and thoughts that need to be expressed. They may be imperfect, messy, wobbly or beautiful, each on their own is supported and held.

Art-making provides another pathway for communication, regulation, reflection and self-expression by letting your body doing the talking — particularly when words feel difficult, overwhelming or simply aren't enough.

You might like to paint, draw, collage, weave, stitch, play with clay, write poetry, craft, experiment with materials, make something with your hands or simply talk about what comes up.

Expressing yourself and exploring your inner world through creativity
isn't something reserved for artists.

It's something accessible to every human.

Art has always been a place to:
- Play and create.
- Express and communicate.
- Process and integrate.
- Connect and regulate.
- Discover and ignite insights.

you don’t have to be “good” at art. art is meant to be good for you.

What is Counselling?

Sometimes talking is exactly what you need.

Art therapy isn't the only way we can work together.

Counselling offers a safe, supportive space to talk through what’s happening in your life, explore your thoughts and feelings, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Sessions are guided by what feels right for you, without judgement or pressure to have all the answers.

Sessions can be guided by conversation, creative exploration or a combination of both — allowing your therapy to be flexible rather than fitting you into a particular way of doing things.
